Principles and commitments of the fraud and corruption prevention policy of the Association of Biologists of Universidad del Atlántico

Resources used solely for legitimate purposes: ABIUDEA is committed to ensuring that all the resources it receives are used exclusively for the benefit of the people and communities we serve. Corruption and fraud prevent us from achieving this goal and are therefore not tolerated under any circumstances.

Prohibition of abuse of power: ABIUDEA staff are required to avoid abusing their professional status and power for personal benefit. Any attempt to use one's position within the organization to obtain personal advantage or gain will be subject to disciplinary sanctions.

Transparent management, free of conflicts of interest: All staff must handle recruitment, procurement, aid delivery and service provision carefully and transparently, avoiding any kind of conflict of interest. Relationships with the people we serve must always be respectful and oriented towards the common good.

Prohibition of fraud and misappropriation of funds: Any act of fraud, misappropriation of funds or other behaviour aimed at obtaining a personal or professional advantage will be considered serious misconduct and will be subject to the corresponding sanctions.

Everyone is responsible for fighting corruption: Everyone with administrative responsibilities at ABIUDEA, as well as any member or collaborator, must actively promote a working culture based on fairness, trust and transparency. This includes the responsibility to prevent and report any corrupt conduct within the organization.
